About
Who We Are
A ministry of Holy Trinity Anglican Baulkham Hills, Alight Creative shares the good news of Jesus through affordable primary and high school writing workshops for students across the Hills District.
Guided by passionate tutors, our welcoming community helps kids build competency in their English literacy, master essential essay writing skills, and discover just how enjoyable writing can be.
Two streams, two stages of school
Our classes are split by stage so each student masters the writing task set for their years.
Primary School Writing
For Years 3 to 6, built around the 30-minute narrative and persuasive tasks primary students are asked to write. Each week we teach and model how to find an idea fast, describe it vividly, and land a satisfying ending.
High School Writing
For Years 7 to 10, built around the 40-minute essay. Students learn to read a text closely, name the techniques a writer has used, and shape their thinking into a polished academic argument.
