Castle Hill · Years 7-10
High School Writing
Writing classes in Castle Hill for Years 7 to 10 — where the 40-minute essay is explicitly taught, modelled and practised, week by week.
By high school the writing task has changed shape: students are handed a text and asked to argue something about it, on the clock, in a form their teachers will mark closely. Our Years 7-10 classes build that skill deliberately rather than leaving it to be picked up along the way.
Each week the ‘science’ of a strong essay is taught out loud and modelled in front of the class — thesis, evidence, technique, structure — and then students write their own, with a tutor beside them. Groups are small, feedback is specific, and there is always food and fun along the way.
Classes run in small groups at 88 Cecil Avenue, Castle Hill, for families across the Hills District — Baulkham Hills, Kellyville and beyond — and cost just $60 a term. Term 4 enrolments open until Fri 18 Dec 2026.
